CLE Program: Working Remotely and Attorney–Client Privilege

On February 25, 2026, Francesca Giannoni-Crystal will serve as a panelist in the CLE program “Working Remotely and Attorney–Client Privilege: Legal Ethics.”

The program will explore lawyers’ confidentiality and privilege obligations when working in remote and non-traditional environments, including home offices, coworking spaces, open-office settings, and while traveling. The discussion will address the distinctions among confidentiality, attorney–client privilege, and work product protection, and will examine when conduct may constitute a breach of confidentiality as opposed to a waiver of privilege.

The panel will also discuss practical steps lawyers can take to preserve these protections when working remotely, including challenges related to technology and AI.
